“Protecting Georgia’s Natural Resources Through Education & Recreation”
Membership Program
When you visit the Hike Inn, you may notice our dedicated Friends of the Hike Inn helping our staff. Friends members assist in the kitchen and dining hall helping staff prepare, serve and clean up after the meals. Community experts in their field may present after dinner educational programs on subjects relevant to the Hike Inn mission. Members skilled in facility and native pollinator garden care help us with maintenance of our buildings and grounds.
If you are interested in the Friends of the Hike Inn program, we prefer that you have stayed with us previously as a guest first in order to fully enjoy the whole experience before helping us out. Please indicate if you have been a previous guest, as well as a previous volunteer, in the application check boxes below, and include any relevant notes of your connection to the Hike Innin the message section.
If you would like to present an education program relevant to our mission, please make a note in the message section your subject expertise and experience. We ask our Friends volunteers to help in the kitchen for a shift before scheduling to be a program presenter.
From the very start, the Hike Inn has relied on the help of dedicated Friends of the Hike Inn members to help our small staff provide the very best guest services and support our mission. It is much more than a volunteer program - it is joining the Hike Inn family!
